Abstract

Objective: This study is of three domestic cases of mergers and acquisitions. Theobjective this study is to understand how culture interacts of two firms in cases of mergers and acquisitions.Method: the selection of cases is convenient and selection of respondents are both convenient and purposive.Qualitative research has been used, the rationale for selecting qualitative research is that cultural context can be narrated in form of stories and experiences. semi structured interview has been applied as a tool for data collection, thematic analysis has been done. Findings: The findings are that there are cultural difference in all three cases of mergers and acquisitions, but it is cultural tolerance which caused the success.Several cultural interventions were practiced towards cultural tolerance. helps in achieving synergies in cases of mergers and acquisitions. Organizations Limitations & Implications:The study is based on three cases of mergers of acquisitions hence it cannot be generalized. The data collected also from those who were ready to respond.
