VLSI Implementation of QCA LDPC Code for Wimax applications

Abstract

This paper proposes QCA LDPC code that contains QCA encoder, QCA memory and QCA decoder. Due to the radiation effects, transient faults may occur in QCA memory system that affects the whole system. To eradicate this issue, the QCA detector and QCA corrector is used. Serial one-bit QCA logic corrector is used to correct the errored codeword from memory. It uses the cyclic shift to correct the codeword. The proposed QCA LDPC code increases the efficiency by 25%, 50%, 13.63%, 11.11%, 31.57%, 38.88%, 20%  and  complexity by 26.39%,    20.80%,    28.69%,    32.52%,    20.87%, 13.33%, 6.68% when compared to the previous error correction codes such as single parity check code, Hadamard code, hamming code, convolution code, cyclic code, golay code and extended golay code.
