Abstract

Xiaobanqiao township and its surrounding area is one of the most serious land subsidence regions in Kunming city. In this paper, 13 scenes ASAR images covering this area were processed based on small baseline subset InSAR method, and the land deformation distribution characteristics of the study area were obtained from May 2008 to August 2010, then the influence of groundwater exploitation and aquifer media on land deformation was analyzed. The results show that: (1) From 2008 to 2010, there are four subsidence zones in the study area, namely Xiaobanqiao, Guandu—Liujia, the east of Jinma township and the north of Ala township, with a deformation rate of -60.0 to 24.6 mm/a. (2) Dongjuxin village is the most serious subsidence area in Xiaobanqiao township, of which the annual subsidence rate reached 60.0 mm/a and the cumulative subsidence was about 83 mm. Then the annual subsidence rate reached 32 mm/a in Yuhua village, of which the cumulative subsidence was 70 mm. (3) The land subsidence is affected by groundwater and aquifer media in the study area, and the variation range of groundwater is coupled with the trend of land subsidence.
