Abstract

— Civil pilot training schools which have a centralized system generally limit the pilot instructor's
innovative behavior as someone who has a central role in educating and training of pilot students. This is
also shown by the lack of innovative behavior of pilot instructors at the civil pilot training schools. This
study aims to investigate the impact of organizational culture on the innovative behavior of pilot instructors
at the civil pilot training schools in Indonesia.
The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method with a sample of 98 pilot instructors taken
through simple random sampling of the population of 129 pilot instructors in Indonesia Pilot Academy
(IPA) of Banyuwangi and Indonesia Aviation Polytechnic (IAP) of Curug. Data collection using a
questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale and data analysis using path analysis
The research findings indicate that organizational culture has a positive impact on the innovation behavior of
pilot instructors.
