Application of Mechanical Analysis in Tunnel Construction

Abstract

In this paper, the application of mechanical analysis in tunnel construction is researched. It is very important for the tunnel structure to save investment under some special conditions. In view of the mechanical problems of surrounding rock and tunnel supporting structure of highway double arch tunnel under different construction methods, the dynamic numerical simulation of three heading excavation method and upper and lower step excavation method is carried out by using finite element method. This paper establishes the transformation from stress field to displacement field of surrounding rock under different construction procedures, and then compares the two construction methods. The test results show that the scheme of upper and lower bench excavation is better. The internal force, axial force and bending moment model of double arch tunnel supporting structure system established in this paper has certain guiding significance for the design and construction of double arch tunnel.
