Abstract

Purpose- In this research, we investigated an enhanced patient monitoring system (PMS) with
IOT. An advancement of the technology is needed for a better system in the healthcare field. This research
was mainly to skip medical check-up with meeting the doctors at the hospital/clinic by face to face. This
system helps patients who, having problems with certain limitation or restrict their ability to access the
healthcare centre in all forms. The method implements for this system works by receiving the patient’s
health data based on heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature by using Arduino microcontroller and a
glucose meter by using Contour plus one® for IOT system. The data from the microcontroller and a glucose
meter, goes to node-red for further processing and display at the IOT dashboard. The accurate result in heart
rate is 95.75%, blood pressure is 98.85%, body temperature is 95.78% and glucose sensor is 99.7%. Finally,
the system goal and aims were achieved.
