Small Business Development of Catering Service Through Competitive Advantage, Entrepreneurial Orientation and Managerial Capability in Makassar City

Abstract

This research aims to examine small busin ess development of catering service through competitive advantage, entrepreneurial orientation and managerial capability in Makassar city. There are seven things that should be examined in this research. The first is the impact of entrepreneurial orientation on competitive advantage of Catering Services as small businesses in Makassar City. The second is the impact of managerial capability on competitive advantage of Catering Services as small businesses in Makassar City. The third is the impact of Competitive advantages on small businesses development of Catering Services in Makassar City. The fourth is the impact of Entrepreneurial orientation on small business development of Catering Services in Makassar City. The fifth is the impact of Managerial capability on small business development of catering services in Makassar City. The sixth is the indirect impact of entrepreneurial orientation on small business development of Catering Services through competitive advantage in Makassar City. The seventh is the indirect impact of managerial capability on small businesses development of Catering services through competitive advantage in Makassar City. The results show that the impact between the research variables was significant as indicated by the P value is below 0.05.  Based on the assessment of the test, it is stated that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. Likewise, it means that there are an indirect impact of entrepreneurial orientation (X1) on business development (Y2) through competitive advantage (Y1), and indirect impact of managerial capability (X2) on small business development (Y2) through competitive advantage (Y1) of Catering Services in Makassar City.
