Teaching Materials Development of E-Learning-Based Speed Reading (Development Study at SMKN 7 Makassar)

Abstract

This research is development research. The focus of research is the development of fast reading anecdote text based on e-Learning teaching materials for class X SMKN 7 Makassar. The subjects in this study were quick reading anecdotal texts, which were developed validly, practically, and effectively. The teaching material product development method uses the Four-D model development design from Thiagarajan, which consists of four stages. The four stages are defined, design, develop and disseminate. The results obtained are: (1) the teaching material product is declared valid because the average value of the overall criteria for the validation results of the material expert and learning design is M = 3.6, is in the valid category () and the average value of the overall validation criteria for design experts e-Learning is M = 3,6, is in the valid category (), 2) teaching material products are declared practical because the average value of the percentage response of students who agree with the statement items in the student response questionnaire is 99.46% and (3) the data on student learning outcomes on the pretest results are in the incomplete category, namely 19 students who obtained scores below the KKM and 18 students who obtained scores above the KKM, while the posttest results were in a complete category, namely all students, namely 37 students had obtained value above KKM. The results showed that the fast reading anecdote text teaching materials based on e-Learning of class X SMKN 7 Makassar were categorized as very valid because the average validation results of experts on e-Learning-based anecdote text speed reading teaching materials reached the predetermined standard, categorized as very practical. Because the average value of the percentage of students who agree with the statement items in the student response questionnaire is 99.46%, and it is very effective because the pretest student learning outcomes are in the incomplete category, while the student learning outcomes in the posttest are in a complete category.
