Development of Scientific Based Islamic Religious Education Learning Devices at Junior High School

Abstract

The development of scientific-based learning tools is necessary to facilitate the achievement of learning goals both from the knowledge (cognitive), attitude (affective), and psychomotor (skills) and make students self-learning, and teachers able to improve creativity, intellectual ability, create pleasant learning conditions, and develop student character. This research aims to produce a scientifically based Islamic Education learning device in junior high school. The subject of the study was grade VIII students of SMP 1 state Kolaka. Learning device development refers to Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel's 4-D learning device development models: Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The results of this study are products namely Learning Plan (RPP), Teaching Book, and Student Work Sheet. The learning tools produced in this study were validated by experts. The trial was conducted in grade VIII of SMP  1 state Kolaka. The results of learning device development in this study are valid, practical and effective. (a) Learning Plan (RPP), Teaching Book, Student Worksheet (LKS) categorized as "Valid" (b) Practical, based on observations by the observer that the learning device was performed well at the time of the trial and (c) effective, it has fulfilled three credibles namely achieved learning completed, effective student activity and response to positive learning, and the ability of teachers to manage learning very well.
