Abstract

Cultural globalization is a historical trend that all ethnic cultures are facing and can not be avoided. It brings not only opportunities but also challenges to the development of ethnic cultures. The folk culture of Northern Shaanxi, which was once in a corner, is also in the background of cultural globalization. The relative closeness of geography, the complexity of history and the diversity of culture make the folk culture of Northern Shaanxi have the characteristics of locality, antiquity, richness, diversity and openness. These distinctive features are not only reflected in the material and spiritual folk customs such as clothing, food, housing and transportation, but also in the social folk customs such as folk art. However, due to the imperfect external communication mechanism, imperfect supporting policies, weak communication awareness and single publicity context, Northern Shaanxi folk culture has been confined to northern Shaanxi for a long time and cannot go abroad. Based on this, according to the 5W communication mode proposed by the communication theory and the virtual environment technology, this paper studies the ways and means of cultural communication in Northern Shaanxi, which has a guiding role in broadening the communication path of folk culture in Northern Shaanxi. The research shows that it is of great significance for Northern Shaanxi folk culture to understand the inevitable trend of globalization and the problems it brings, and to choose the appropriate external communication path.
