Abstract

Long-distance urban water pipelines will be subjected to transient hydraulic impact loads during operation, resulting in pipeline damage, leakage and even safety accidents. In this paper, the mechanical model of the pipeline is established by analyzing the operating conditions of the water conveyance pipeline, and the pressure fluctuation along the pipeline under transient conditions is calculated by programming with MATLAB software and the fluctuation spectrum is analyzed. The results show that the pressure fluctuation in the pipeline caused by the impact of transient flowing water force presents periodic fluctuation and gradually attenuates, and the maximum peak pressure along the pipeline occurs at the valve at the end of the pipeline, which provides guiding significance for engineering construction and maintenance.
