Research on the Transformation and Upgrading Models of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Zhejiang, China

Abstract

China's Zhejiang small and medium-sized enterprises are generally in the low-end industries, low value-added products, low-level technology, low-price competition in the "four low" manufacturing stage, the need for enterprises themselves and government departments, trade associations and other parties to promote its transformation and upgrading. Using qualitative research methods, this paper investigates and interviews small and medium-sized enterprises located in Hangzhou, Jinhua and Jiaxing, and what they have in common is that they are the successful models of the transformation and upgrading of early small and medium-sized enterprises, and through the interviews, we find that each enterprise has its own unique transformation and upgrading model. Based on the theory of enterprise growth, industrial structure theory, innovation theory and industrial value chain theory, through the comprehensive study of relevant theory and research results and case analysis of enterprises, this paper draws six models suitable for the transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprises in Zhejiang Province: technological innovation model, management innovation mode, e-commerce marketing model, industrial chain climbing model, industrial clustering model and diversified business model.
