Performance Evaluation of Nine Switch Based Unified Power Quality Conditioner of Power Quality Issues Using Fuzzy Logic Control and ANN Controller

Abstract

Intelligent control methods are implemented in this nine switch UPQC to overcome the aforementioned issues. The function of UPQC mainly be determined by how fast and precisely compensation signals are estimated. The unified power quality conditioner has presented for reduce the coupling problem by the presence of switching leg. In distributed system needs to explain the approaches for standard supply voltage droop and voltage swell. The FUZZY LOGIC andANNcontroller has most appropriate in dynamic response with a simple configuration and reduces harmonics.The series compensator in the UPQC is for quadrature type of voltage injection. So that at steady states the series compensator that injects the voltage which perfectly compensates the power quality problem of the system. The addition of Fuzzy logic controller with the conventional UPQC reduces the voltage issues in the output voltage and voltage and current harmonics are eliminated with great precision from the system by resultant compensation framework.
