Abstract

Expert reviews are important in the questionnaire approach to check for any content validity of items in the research
instrument. However, there is limited attention in the literature that directly relates to the essential criteria that
researchers need to ponder in the selection of expert reviews, parts of items that need to be assessed, and type of
analysis. Moreover, there is also inadequate study on the procedure on how the proposed dimensions relate to
learners’ satisfaction in blended learning purposely in learning English have been validated via expert reviewers’
perspectives. This study aims to assess the content validity of modified items in the questionnaire. This study would
contribute towards a better understanding of the questionnaire items' validity process for both the research
practitioners and the community. In addition, this article provides evidence from the five experts’ points of view by
distinguishing each of the questionnaire items in ratings from the 3 measures; the level of representativeness,
essential, and clarity. The results from the Content Validity Index (CVI) and Content Validity Ratio (CVR) (Lawshe
test) indicated that expert reviewers have provided excellent content validity solutions for the lower rating of
measurement on questionnaire items which ultimately allow this instrument to be used in the study.
