Abstract

In this paper, an efficient control scheme to enhance voltage regulation and stability of the power system is
proposed. The proposed control scheme will be aHarris Hawks Optimization Algorithm (HHOA).HHOA is
ainnovative population-based nature-stirred optimization prototype which is inspired by the supportive behaviour
and pursuing style of Harris’ hawks in nature called amazementpounce. In the proposed control scheme, the HHOA
searching process is improved by utilizing the algorithm in view of the least possible error objective function. The
proposed control scheme which assurancesadequate swing damping by reducing the conjoint influence between
transient stability and voltage regulation. The PSS parameters tuning will be formulated as an optimization problem
that aims at exploiting the damping ratio of the electromechanical modes. Hence the enactment of the power system
damper will be enhanced by the auxiliary control signal to generators. With this proposed control scheme, the
unbalanced issues will be found with precision and quicker execution to withdraw out the stability issue in the power
system.TheEigenvalue analysis will be investigated for the vibrantcomportment of a power system under different
characteristics frequencies by utilizing the HHOA control scheme. The proposed control scheme will be implemented
in MATLAB/Simulink platform and assessed their performance. The performances will be compared with the existing
techniques.
