Abstract

Increased demand for electricity generation has led to installations of more photovoltaic (PV) systems. However,
this requires an expansion of PV, which in turn causes increased expansion and maintenance costs. A controlled
technique for generating constant power implied in PV converters and analyzing the economic feasibility of the
Constant Power Generation (CPG) control. This control strategy ensures a quick and stable changeover between the
two operational modes- Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) and (CPG). High-performance and stability are
ensured regardless of the variation in solar irradiance levels. An approach on DC level 1 charging of electric
vehicle (EV) using the standalone solar photovoltaic (PV) system. The work realizes the MPPT controlled converter
for EV application. The simulation study of this work provides the performance of standalone charging, an
experimental prototype used to validate the practical feasibility.
