Automated Irrigation System using IOT

Abstract

An automated irrigation system for efficient water management has been proposed to overcome the modern challenge for improvising plant growth and reduce labour.  System consists network of sensors for measurement of different parameters like humidity, temperature, soil moisture and water level, placed in the root zone Microcontroller controls irrigation motor, thereby controlling flow of water to the field and threshold sensed values are displayed in LCD.  Bluetooth/ Wi-Fi module has been used to establish communication between farmer and the field. Through IOT, performance is tracked through SMS/Web page thereby reducing man power and high yield can be achieved.
