Abstract

In this paper a bi-directional Flexible Power Electronic Transformer (FPET) is proposed since it varies voltage,
frequency, and waveform and phase angle. The topology of FPET is developed to achieve multiport electrical output
system which is used for different applications and can be operated independently. A bi-directional power flow is
obtained since each port operates either as an input or output. The energy transfer between the modules as well as
port is connected through a dc link voltage and this virtue is used for applications, where input and output voltages
are different. FPET will be simulated by using MATLAB/SIMULINK and laboratory prototype will be conferred to
verify the abilities of FPET in providing multiport output. This paper presents the information about the Bidirectional Flexible Power Electronic Transformer, which are ideal in providing the electrical energy for remote
areas and large scale industries. The proposed electronic converter can be used in hybrid energy system designed
with different types of combinations like biomass-wind fuel cell, wind and solar electric systems etc. This system has
been designed to overcome the power
