Phosphazenes with Schiff base as Biodegradable Materials for Drugs Delivery Applications for Social Benefits of Human Beings

Abstract

Phosphazenes with Schiff base as side groups showed biodegradable properties. In first step, Schiff base was synthesized and in second step the polydichlorophosphazenes (PDCP) was prepared from monomer hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene (HCCP) by high temperature ring opening polymerization using catalyst. Later, chlorines from PDCP were replaced by hydroxy groups of Schiff base and diethylamine respectively. The synthesis result of polymer was proved by ¹H NMR and GPC. Hydrolytic degradation was observed in different media.  It was observed that polymer degraded faster in lower P_H than higher P_Hand in neutral mediumdegraded moderately for the biomedical application such as drugs delivery and for social benefits of human beings.
