Abstract

In metallurgical slags by considering the specificity of chemical and physical properties and a series of possibilities for their use in other industrial branches like construction.  Partial replacement of sand in concrete is very useful in pavement design, this is demonstrated by this research paper.  For checking the split tensile strength and compressive strength the strength and durability were tested after 7 and 28 days as replacement of sand by adding steel slag as various percentages 10%, 20% and 30%.  When sand is partially replaced by steel slag the result shows that the strength properties of concrete increases significantly.
