An H-Shaped Aperture Coupled Planar Inverted-L Microstrip Patch Antenna

Abstract

An H-shaped aperture-coupled shorted rectangular microstrip patch antenna is presented. By proper choice of the aperture dimensions and patch dimension, a wide band operation could be realized. The impedance bandwidth of the designed antenna reaches about 12.5%. Both theoretical and experimental results are found in good agreement.
