Abstract

The “photo galvanic effect” was studied in “photo galvanic cell” that contains Fuchsin Basic which is a dye and work as the “photo sensitizer” and C6H8O6 (Ascorbic acid), KI (Potassium Iodide), C6H12O6 (Glucose) are working as reductant. The study had determined the “photo potentials” and “photocurrent garneted,” “conversion efficiency,” Power and performance of cell in the “photo galvanic cell.” On the electrical output of the cell, the effects of various parameters have been observed in the study and the mechanism to generate the “photo current” in the “photo galvanic cell” was also suggested.
