AidHub: An Android-Based Basic First Aid Application

Abstract

Accidents happen everywhere at any time, and the respond towards the casualty will minimize the injury experienced
by the victim to the extent of saving a life. Everyone, especially children are prone when it comes to incoming lifethreatening accidents. In the present time, technology is invading people’s lives and children are more oriented in
gadgets like it is a part of their daily lives. It was observed that some of the existing systems in first aid for adults are
mostly informative. However, the existing first aid games for kids have only one game type, which is mostly
situational. Hence, in this study, a game that is informative and user-friendly at the same time is developed for users,
especially kids for them to utilize their time spent on smartphones by playing and gaining basic first aid knowledge
simultaneously.
