Abstract

This work outlines an experimental and theoretical investigation of the effect of molybdenum (Mo) doping into the TiO2 lattice metal oxide. In view of this, Mo is doped into the TiO2 lattice in order to  used for gas sensing application. The Mo and TiO2 powders fired at 450 0C have the rutile structure. These powders were used to produce thick-film sensors. Four series of thick-film samples were fabricated by screen-printing techniques fired for 5h at 650 0C. Surface modified thick films were analyzed for structural, morphological and electrical properties by XRD, SEM with EDX.
