Abstract

The article discusses the peculiarities and principles of Uzbek prose of the independence period.
The ability to express the motifs of folklore in the artistic context, which is one of the peculiar principles of
Uzbek prose of the independence period, is described in detail.
In particular, this situation is interpreted in the example of the prose writer Isajon Sultan, whose story
"Garden of Eram" is subject to artistic analysis. Through artistic analysis, the main content of the story is
revealed. The psyche of the character is psychologically based on the behavior, and significant changes in
the psyche of the protagonist are interpreted in the context of folklore motifs.
It is also scientifically and theoretically justified that in today's Uzbek prose, writers turn to folklore motives
and views in order to realize their artistic intentions
