Abstract

This research aims to answer questions about the procedures and infrastructure that needs to be
improved in managing Indonesia-Timor Leste's borders after the Covid-19 pandemic(new normal). The
research was conducted using field research, inquiry form, and confirmation of answers to be analyzed in a
descriptive way. The results showed that in managing the Indonesia-Timor Leste border area after the
Covid-19 outbreak needed improvements to the general work process on the border in the handling of
removal and cleaning of goods. In detail, three important work procedures at the border, which require
immediate improvement for the handling of cargo and bus/car are health quarantine services on cargo and
goods. Meanwhile, for the person/passenger/driver/border crossing, the most important thing that needs to
be repaired is the availability of the number and ability of health quarantine officers and the availability of
personal protective equipment (PPE).
