EQUATION OF STATE MODELS TO STUDY COMPRESSION BEHAVIOR UNDER PRESSURE: ZnO NANOPARTICLES AS AN EXAMPLE

Abstract

A simple thermodynamic analysis of equation of state (EOS) theory is discussed to study the
influence of pressure and volume expansion of few metal oxide nanomaterials. Different possible forms of
equations of state are discussed here for a ZnO nanoparticles ( Wurzite phase and Rocksalt phase) to study
the effect of pressure and volume expansion on them. The results obtained are compared with the available
other relations. It is found that the relation in the present work gives the results which are in the better
agreement with the other relations.
