Integrating Learning Technologiesto Support the Students’ Achievement Instatistics

Abstract

The study determined the extent of integration of learning technologies in Statistics and its implication to students’ achievement. Cross-sectional research design was used having the survey questionnaire and achievement test as the main data gathering instrument. Two groups of respondents from Samar State University, Philippines were involved in the study: teachers handling the basic statistics subject and all the students enrolled in the subject. The results revealed that teachers’ extent of technology integration in teaching was “low” which means that the technology was used only below twenty-five percent of the time in a semester. The students’ achievement levelwas generally below average and learning technology is significantly associated with the student’s achievement.
