To Assess the Problems in Providing the Health Care Services among the Multipurpose Health Workers (Female) Working At the Selected Sub-Centers of Sangli District

Abstract

The grass root nurses are facing many problems in providing the health care services. A study was conducted “to assess the problems in providing the health care services among the multipurpose health workers (female) working at the selected sub-centers of Sangli District” was conducted.

 OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY To assess the problems in providing the health care services among the multipurpose health workers (female) working at the selected sub-centers of Sangli District.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY. The study adopted an Open System Model developed by Ludwig von Bertalanffy, to assess the problems in providing the health care services among the multipurpose health workers (female) working at the selected sub-centers of Sangli District.    This explorative descriptive study was used to assess the problems in providing the health care services among the multipurpose health workers (female). The sample size was 120 multipurpose health workers (female) working at the selected sub-centers of Sangli District.Data collection tool included semi-structured questionnaire for generating necessary data. The semi-structured questionnaire consisted of 17 main questions along with their sub-questions confined to the 17 different areas.

RESULTS. Based on the objective the data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics that is frequency and percentage.   It was observed that among the sample, maximum subjects indicated problem in providing the health care services regarding finance 75 (62.5%).

CONCLUSION: The study concluded that distribution of problems faced by multipurpose health workers (female) in each area ranges 40-60%.
