Abstract

Ready Mixed Concrete (RMC) plays the vital role in construction projects. The productivity of the concreting activities in construction mainly depends on the delivery of Ready Mixed Concrete from the Concrete Batching Plant (CBP) for the constructions using purchased concrete. The Ready Mixed Concrete production industry is very competitive and Concreting Batching Plant management has to ensure that their products are delivered to site on time with maximum economy. Ready Mixed Concrete Delivered to the construction site was a function of operations of both Concreting Batching Plant and Transit Mixer(TM). The Ready Mixed Concrete Plant contains the variables such as Concrete Type, Distance to Site from Plant, Pump Capacity, Truck Load, Time of Transportation, Proximity to City and the Output variables are Loading Time, Hauling Time, Unloading Time, and Cycle Time. The relationships between these variables and cycle time are analyzed using SPSS tool. The statistical analyses carried out are Measurement of central tendency, correlation coefficient, and t-test analysis shows that the main factor affecting the cycle time is Distance.
