Organizational Citizenship Behavior as a Mediator of the Relationship between Ethical Leadership and Employee Efficiency: A Case Study of Generation Y Employees in Modern Trade Sector

Abstract

— This article aimed (1) to study ethical leadership related to employee efficiency of generation Y
employees in modern trade sector, (2) to study the mediator variable influence of organizational citizenship
behavior that has a relationship between ethical leadership and employee efficiency of generation Y employees
in modern trade sector. This population is a questionnaire to gather data from a total of 460 samples. With
sampling random and statistical data analysis, that is percentage, frequency, mean and standard deviations and
hypotheses with PLS-SEM. The results of research were found that ethical leadership related to employee
efficiency of generation Y employees in modern trade sector and organizational citizenship behavior
significant level at 0.000. By relationship as ethical leadership that has effected indirectly to employee
efficiency of Generation Y employees in modern trade sector through organizational citizenship behavior to
become the leadership as moral.
