Abstract

The effect of various flow entities of a time dependent MHD convective heat and mass transfer
flow past a semi-infinite vertical moving plate studded in a porous medium has been presented in this
paper. It is observed that when the Schmidt number (Sc) is raising, the concentration of the fluid
decreases and such a pattern is observed more significantly in the boundary layer region. As remove
faraway for the boundary layer, the concentration is observed to be independent of Schmidt number
(Sc).
It is noted that as the Schmidt number (Sc) increases, the temperature
( ) ?
is found to be
decreasing. Also, as time parameter ( t ) increases the temperature
( ) ?
is seen to be decreasing, however
such observed difference is to very small. Further, as the Schmidt number (Sc) increases, the velocity is
found to be inversely related while we drift far away from the boundary, the velocity increases. Also, it
is noticed that relatively for a small change in time parameter ( t ) not observable change in the velocity is
observed. It is observed that, the mass Grashof number (Gm) do not qualitatively alter the physical
structure of velocity profiles and a small change the temperature
( ) ?
do not make any difference in the
nature velocity profiles.
