Abstract

This study is proposed to identify the factors that cause stress among teachers in private and
government schools of Punjab, India in the present industrial revolution 4.0 which is more of technology
oriented. This study is conducted on total 200 teachers, 100 from private schools and 100 from government
schools to compare the factors which cause stress and hence affects the job performance. Data was collected
through survey using close ended questions in questionnaire. Researcher used multiple regression technique for
testing hypothesis. Findings of this research conclude that efforts have significant impact on job performance of
teachers in government schools whereas rewards have a significant impact on job performance of teachers in
private schools. Hence this study recommends that educational organizations should adapt new strategies to
reduce stress among teachers so that they can perform better and get satisfaction from their work.
