Abstract

This paper mainly focuses on finite difference time domain method (FDTD) for the analysis of
electromagnetic wave on dielectric of Gallium Nitride (GaN) material. The time evolution behavior of
electromagnetic fields is studied by solving the Maxwell equation in the time domain by using the finite
difference method. In this paper, the propagation of one dimensional (1D) and two dimensional (2D)
electromagnetic field in free space and dielectric GaN material are analyzed using FDTD method. The
amplitudes of the wave in free space and in GaN material are also analyzed using FDTD method. The wave
amplitude in free space is larger than in dielectric (GaN material). The simulation results are done by analyzing
the theoretical fundamentals with the help of simulation tool like MATLAB.
