THE INFLUENCE OF INFORMATION SYSTEM SUCCESS FACTORS TOWARDS USER SATISFACTION IN PUBLIC IRAQI BANKING
Abstract
This study aims to explore the impact of information system (IS) and its succes factors
on satisfaction within users of the Iraqi banks. In recent years, IS has been linked
directly with user satisfaction and many studies have highlighted that in their findings.
This information is important due to their aid in easier IS steps and to examine their
action within the population. Due to the advancement in information technology (IT)
and the marketing it made it very competitor for bank to accommodate all of them and
to manage the IS accordingly. In Iraq, the number of bank users is growing rapidly,
therefore there was an urgent need to develop a modern, yet a friendly user IS system.
The key aim of this research is to 1) analyze the essential aliments that lead to the
effectiveness of the information system; 2) find the key points for best IS experience
by bank users in Iraq; and 3) explore related IS variables affecting customer
satisfaction, such as system efficiency and information quality. The study applied a
quantitative flow to obtain the data and to analyze them, about 100 participants from
Iraqi banks were collected to participant in the questionnaire concerning their bank
usage experience along with the advantages and disadvantages. Three main aliments
were positively correlated to user satisfaction, so to reach a high user satisfaction of
information system within the Iraqi banks all aliments must be fulfilled. It is also
recommended important to do an intensive research in the other departments in Iraqi
banks.
