Abstract

To estimate calories in pattern recognition, the technique of image segmentation has been widely used. However, the process of multi-food picture segmentation is more complicated. This paper proposes the segmentation of coloured food images for image segmentation. The segmentation technique splits the food image into two regions: the foreground and the background. Additionally, it can distinguish between food items on the plate. These methods can be applied to a large range of agricultural and food items, such as poultry, pastry products, farm products , vegetables, but mostly fruit. Image processing can be used for distinct purposes associated with these types of products. Classification based on shape and size, defect detection, microbial safety, grading of quality and variety determination are mainly the topics studied. A literature review indicates favourable published results. A literature review indicates favourable published results. Generally, small-scale inquiries have been submitted, but some of themmay find a highly efficient industrial application venue.
