An Inter-Cultural Communication Perspective About Islamic Values in Making Islamic Film

Abstract

Indonesia and other ASEAN countries need to tidy up to try to adapt to the rapid development of
new culture in various spectrums which is increasingly complex. The growth of visual communication
culture especially manifested in the Television and Film industry has more or less succeeded in enlivening
the economic and business map in Indonesia. The high level of productivity in the industry will certainly be
accompanied by a demand for understanding the culture of film communication in its values. The
mushrooming of making Islamic films in Indonesia has opened the contribution of different communication
studies between several countries. Many Indonesian films have cultural backgrounds and Islamic
theological missions, even those films are screened in our neighboring countries but many of these films
have no value visual visuals of Islam. The film contains Islamic values, but the results of his work do not use
the rules of Islamic teachings, even far from the aesthetic rules of Islam. There is a need for a special study
of Islamic values in visualizing films with Islamic genres, so that they can become works that have precise
and true Islamic communication and visual values. The study of the rules, values, and creators of this film
will explain the scope between the religious side and cultural values of the Islamic film. This research
applies qualitative methods. Data obtained through literature study and observation. The analysis process
uses descriptive analysis method
