Abstract

High rise structures are often subjected to wind loads depending upon the location of the structure.
Many a times the wind pressures are the dominating load parameter than the other loads. Especially
when the structures are resting in the northern part of India, the wind flow is much higher than that of
the other parts. Additionally the structures has to be constructed on the inclined portions of the hilly
region making the structure more complex. In this research study, the structures resting on sloping
ground additionally subjected to heavy wind has been evaluated. All the simulations were carried out
using SAP-2000. The structural performance was evaluated based upon the parameters such as Base
reaction, Time Period, and the total displacements of the structure under heavy wind.
