Abstract

Ad-hoc network is a mobile transmission wireless network which does not have any centralized infrastructure nor any fixed access point where the network connection and where the change of location of nodes and its configuration can be made on the fly. Due to the mobilization of node, failure of link is very frequent in those networks and inefficient in delivering of certain standard protocols which results in losses over throughput and some wastage over in power. Thus, in this paper in order to reduce link failure in these types of networks, we are proposing an improved route repair algorithm using beacon strength and stability of nodes in path of transmission in such case of failure in the transmission link. Using this algorithm, the power is conserved and throughput is improved. The performance of this technique is shown in the simulation and the connectivity is seen to be reliable in the real time data transmission
