Abstract

Recently, 3D printing technology is developing rapidly, which corresponds with the increasingly extensive application of 3D. Meanwhile, the technical system is becoming more mature. Among the various applications, 3D printing has gained more and more research concentration and investment on the manufacturing process of electronic circuit devices due to its technical characteristics and cost advantages. This paper generally reviews researches of 3D printing technology in the field of electronic circuit device fabrication, and subsequently cites and synthesizes a variety of 3D printing technologies applied to the manufacturing process of core components of various electronic circuit devices, demonstrating its theoretical rationality and technical operability. Besides, this paper presents an analysis regarding its application advantages and promotion prospects. The main body of the paper involves inkjet printing method in manufacturing electronic circuit devices such as electrodes, 3D printing in manufacturing energy storage components such as lithium ion batteries and supercapacitors, stereolithography technology in printing of electro-micro-driven components such as piezoelectric ceramics, 3D-printing composite materials, 4D printing. Through the analysis of the current status of researches of 3D printing technology in the field of electronic circuit device fabrication, this paper presents a summary regarding the additive manufacturing methods and the auxiliary processes of major electronic circuit components. Besides, it also discusses and predicts the future development and new trends of 3D printing technology in these fields.
