Abstract

Low pressure plasma discharge has a certain influence on the minimum ignition energy of n-decane. In this paper, the vapor-liquid two-phase concentration, particle size and the minimum point of n-alkane cloud under low-pressure plasma discharge are measured. The experimental device is composed of 20L cylindrical diameter ratio 1: 1 transparent plexiglass tank, two sets of pneumatic spray dispersing device and trigger control system installed symmetrically. The results show that the minimum ignition energy of n-alkanes is greater than that of pure gas, and increases with the increase of particle size. This study has a certain reference value for the study of the minimum ignition energy of n-decane by low-pressure plasma discharge.
