The Development of English Skill by usingJigsaw Technique for Master Students of Teaching Islamic Education

Abstract

The objectives in the research were 1) to find out the efficiency of lesson plan for
development of English skills by using jigsaw technique 2) to study and compare English skill of
Master students before and after 3) to study the complacency of master students of teaching Islamic
education program towards development of English skill plan by using jigsaw technique. The
population in this research was master students of Teaching Islamic Education Program consisted of 23
students in the 3rd semester of academic year 2019. The instruments in this research were 1) the
learning management plan of the English for Graduate Studies subject 2) complacency form for
student. Statistics used in this research were percentage, means, average, and standard deviation. The
findings were 1) The efficiency for development plan of English skill by using jigsaw technique was
84.85/81.33, 2) Complacency of master students towards development plan of English skill averaged
at high level after using jigsaw technique. 3) The achievement of the English skill by using
development plan by using jigsaw technique was higher statically significant.
