Physico-Chemical And Biological Characters Of The Water Samples Collected During The Winter Season From Various Government Schools Of Eluru, W.G.Dt., Andhra Pradesh

Abstract

Water is very  important for the functioning of the human body. It is an important element for life on earth. Our drinking water contains many pollutants and is becoming unsuitable for consumption. This study on drinking   water analysis  aimed at ensuring the quality of   water available at government schools, identify problems and to create awareness to the school  going children about various aspects of maintenance of Water Quality. Water samples were assessed during winter season on Physico -chemical and Biological parameters like pH, EC, Turbidity, TDS, Alkalinity, Hardness, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulphate , Iron, DO and COD by using standard methods.
