Abstract

This paper aims to analyze factors affecting the stress level of Experienced Students and Fresher Students studying in a Post Graduate Program. These factors are further classified as sociodemographic factors and academic factors. The objective was to discover the various factors affecting the stress levels in the case of a student who is a fresher and a student who has prior work experience. It was important to conduct a Secondary Research on the related topic followed by Primary Research done through a Questionnaire Method wherein two Statistical methods have been used to examine and understand the figures collected, namely; the Chi-square test of association/independence & Binary Logistic Regression. The above-mentioned tests were performed on SPSS Statistic software that resulted in proving that the factors that affect the stress levels in one's life differ in the case of a fresher student and that of a student with prior work experience. Gender and quality of educational processes were the factors influencing stress in a postgraduate fresher's life. Monthly income, quality of the educational process, and methods of teaching were the factors influencing stress in a postgraduate experienced student's life. These factors have turned out to be good predictors to fit into the Regression Model. Thus, the factors differ in both the cases, and the research paper further also mentions the reasons and relevant details of the study towards the end.
