Assessment and Records Management Planning in PT XYZ Using ARMA GARP Principles

Abstract

Records Management offers many advantages for a company, such as an efficiency, cost savings, and increasing company productivity. On the other hand, poor Records Management has an impact on companies in the form of decreasing the level of trust in company decisions making and internal company conflicts. PT XYZ needs to establish good Records Management to fulfill the obligations to its customers and compliance with government regulations regarding document storage. The study aims to help in assessing the maturity of Records Management of PT XYZ and to help in planning the improvement of PT XYZ's Records Management. The assessment was performed by using the ARMA GARP Maturity Model Framework. The results of the assessment indicated the level of maturity was at level 2 (In Development). Recommendations had been made to improve Records Management to reach minimum level 3.
