The Effect of Millennial Intrinsic Value toward Employee Outcomes with Employee Benefit as Mediating Variable for Strengthening Indonesia's Startup Business

Abstract

The development of information technology affects many other aspects such as the emergence of startup companies in Indonesia. However, many starup companies face difficulty in strengthening their businesses. It occurs because their employees are millennial. Based on IDN Research Institute (2019), they can’t work maximally. Thus, it need to be identified what factors that can overcome this problem so that the employe outcome in startup companies can contribute to the company optimally. This research discussed the Effect of Millennial Intrinsic Value toward Employee Outcomes with the Employee Benefit Program as a Mediating Variable in Startup Companies in Indonesia. The population in this study were all employees working in Indonesian startups with decacorn and unicorn status, namely motorcycle, motorcycle, traveloka and bukalapak. A sample of 224 respondents were taken using a random sampling technique. The data analysis method used SEM with PLS approach to find out the relationship between the variables tested. The results in this research explaiedn that millennial intrinsic value affected employee outcomes, millennial intrinsic value affected employee benefit programs, employee benefit programs affected employee outcomes, and millennial intrinsic value affected employee outcomes through employee benefit programs.
