Abstract

In the present work, the spectral properties (absorption and fluorescence) for liquid compound Aurintricarboxylic (A) dissolve in distilled water and dimethy sulfoxide(DMSO)were studied at different concentrations(2x10?3, 4x 10?3 and 6x 10?3 ) M, at room temperature. The optical properties were determined using UV-visible absorbance and transmittance spectral at the (200 - 1100) nm, wavelength rang and spectrofluorometer. The results showing that the optical properties were increasing by increasing the dye concentration, also the fluorescence is decreasing by decreasing the dye concentration. Therefore, we can use this compound with this concentration as laser active medium.
