Synthesis And Biological Activity Of New Heterocyclic Compounds Derived From N-Benzoylthioimidazolidin-4-one

Abstract

In this research 1-benzoy-2-thioxoimidazolidin-4-one (BTIO)was synthesized by the reaction of benzoylthiourea (BT) with chloroacetyl chloride in the presence of 1,4-Dioxane as solvent,BTIO was used as a precursor for the synthesized a new chalcones (1a-f) by reaction BTIO with aryl aldehydes in alkaline media to produce ((E)-1-benzoyl-5-(Arylidene)-2-thioxoimidazolidin-4-one(1a-f).

These chalcones were used to synthesis pyrazole and pyrimidine derivatives by the reaction with hydrazine hydrate and phenyl hydrazine to give pyrazole derivatives (2a-e) and (3a-f) respectively,and pyrimidine derivatives were synthesized by the reaction chalcones (1a-f) with thiourea to produced (4a-d).
