Study on the Mechanic Performance for Widening of T-beam Bridge by Strong Rigid Connection

Abstract

Based on practical engineering application, the T-beam bridge is widened by the strong rigid connection. The concrete construction of the strong rigid connection is introduced. The characteristics and problems of the splicing scheme are summarized. According to the key problems on widening of the hollow slab bridge, such as shrinkage and creep, uneven settlement, vehicle load and splicing time, the finite element model is established by the grillage method to study the mechanic performance. The mechanics characteristics of old T-beams and joint in key factors are obtained. The achievements of the study have certain reference value for the widening and reconstruction of the existing T-beam bridge.
