Utility of Output Driven Hypothesis based on Big Data in English Translation

Abstract

The traditional translation methods are not effective in translation accuracy and matching degree, and the accuracy decreases rapidly when the amount of data is large. Under the guidance of output driven hypothesis, this paper expounds the construction of output driven hypothesis theory in College English translation teaching mode under the background of big data by elaborating its development route and research status and combining with the current situation of College English curriculum setting in our university. On the basis of classification, course type and module, humanistic English is combined with translation module to construct the teaching mode of “driving promoting evaluation”, which aims to give full play to the positive role of the instrumental and humanistic nature of College English course in talent cultivation. The experimental results show that this method has a certain guiding significance for the research on the utility of output driven hypothesis based on big data in English translation.
